I am sitting here a week into April, recovering from Easter and wishing for warmer weather, and I am realizing how blessed I am. For a pastor our two busiest times of the year are of course Advent and Easter. Both of these seasons care so much meaning and importance for our faith. I know for myself, sometimes I get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of the season and seem to go through on autopilot and feel as though I miss opportunity to relax and soak it all in. In speaking with other pastors, I am not alone in this feeling. I pray this is not the case for you. For myself, as I have come to understand how and what is happening, I have tried to take a little extra time and review the events of Holy Week. As I have reviewed them I felt that things went well and that we did a pretty good job of paying homage to our Lord. I would be curious to hear from any of you who would like to share your feedback on how your experience was and what might we do to improve the experience. I know some of you have the opportunity to experience some of the services at other churches or locations and I always like to hear what others do. So please share any thoughts or feelings.

On another note, we will be doing another series in this Season of Easter and looking at the Resurrection through the writings of the Apostle Peter in Epistle 1 Peter. The title is Resurrection Realities and the realities we will be looking at in Suffering, Lifestyle, Relationships, Identity, Evangelism, and on Satan. We started this series this past Wednesday, and the same service will be presented on Sunday, and will continue in that order until we reach Pentecost.

Our Monday morning Bible study will be starting a verse-by-verse Bible Study of First Peter to coincide with our 1st Peter sermon series. I believe we may be doing the same series on our Sunday morning Bible study as well.

Going to be a short one today, and I would just like to close with a big thank you to all of you for your support, particularly through this Easter Season. None of this would be what it is without all of your help. I pray God's blessing on all of you as we move into Spring and hopefully an early summer.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you, may the Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace.

Pastor Rick
